Online courses require broadband (cable modem, DSL, T-1, etc.) Internet access. Due to the size of the files, a dial-up connection to the internet will not work.
Users will need to disable local firewalls to permit audio streaming. This means that most corporate computers and all public computers (in libraries, internet cafes, etc.) will not be able to access the audio materials.
Audio streams cannot be copied or downloaded. Students who choose the online option will only be able to hear lectures on their computer.
